Hey there!

I'm Scott Molumby. I have been painting, drawing, cutting, gluing and generally making a mess for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories include imagining crazy worlds and fantastical beings, with my little brother, and scribbling them all over rolls of wallpaper laid out on the floor at my Nan's house.

Studying art, illustration and graphic design earlier in my career has had a big impact on the work I produce. I like to explore otherworldly creatures and monsters by employing a bold and colourful palette to bring them to life. These are usually paired with hand drawn typography and lettering. My creative process sparks with these words and phrases that I jot down whenever they come to me. Using these as a jumping off point, I then dive straight into the canvas and the artwork is brought to life as I create it, with very little preemptive design. I like to find and discover the characters and their world during the artistic process.

Graduating from Swansea Metropolitan University in 2011, I currently live and work from my studio in North Devon, UK - with my puppy, Happy. My finished artwork carries complex, varied and thick-layered mark making that catches the energy of my studio experimentation and gives a glimpse through my diverse lens.
